The Arsenal Board of Directors to Take On the Interim Leadership of the 2019 Berlinale Forum

The board of directors of Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art e.V., which consists of Milena Gregor, Birgit Kohler and Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, is to take on the interim leadership of the 2019 Forum (see also the press release from May 16, 2018).

Arsenal has organised the Forum as an independent section of the Berlinale since its very first edition in 1971 and its board of directors has been closely involved in the Forum’s selection process, conceptual development and implementation for many years now. With the support of the proven, committed and highly qualified team around long-standing programme coordinator Anna Hoffmann, Milena Gregor, Birgit Kohler and Stefanie Schulte Strathaus will carry out the leadership tasks for the 2019 Forum and thus also further emphasise the constitutive connection between Arsenal and the Forum.

“As a workshop for truly independent contemporary film, as a unique site of experimentation for cinematic forms and positions and as a lively discourse platform, Forum and Forum Expanded form an annual highpoint in the work of Arsenal, each year incorporating new, individual thematic concerns of our activities while also setting them in motion in turn.
