Success at the Grocer Gold Awards 2018

Tesco picked up two Grocer Gold awards at the ceremony held in London on Tuesday 12 June.

For the fourth year running Tesco scooped ‘Britain’s Favourite Supermarket’, an award made even more significant as it’s voted for by customers. The Grocer’s ‘Store Manager of the Year’ title also went to Nick Carolan, Store Manager at Tesco Hull St Stephen’s Extra.

After collecting his award Nick commented:

“I’m thrilled and there’s really too many people I want to thank. I’ve worked with some phenomenal people at Tesco and that’s what makes us special.

“I joined the graduate scheme in 1997 and have been with Tesco for my whole career, including 17 years as a Store Manager. My motto is work hard, be humble and treat everybody with respect.”

These prestigious awards recognise the highest customer service and standards in grocery retail – and underline the amazing efforts of colleagues to serve Britain’s customers a little better every day.
