“A well written fictional history of Fort Smith.” - Jim Kelly, an Amazon customer

A soldier faces a moral dilemma while serving a country gripped in a messy and bloody conflict. David Banks’ Fort Whiskey tells the story of a young soldier, Willis Reed, and his struggles amidst all the chaos during the Civil War.

Set in Arkansas and based on a real life story of Bank’s ancestor, the book is a gripping account on the struggles of the US during one of the darkest periods in its history. As the country grappled with morality and politics during the Civil War, Willis Reed is grappling between his duty, his family, and his love. The internal conflict of United States of America was perfectly mirrored in the life of the young protagonist.

Fort Whiskey is a “well written fictional history of Fort Smith,” writes Jim Kelly, an Amazon customer. While another Amazon customer, KC, writes, “The characters came to life in this exciting story of vengeance, devotion, and love.” Follow Willis Reed as he tries to navigate Arkansas during the most chaotic and bloody time in the country’s history.

Fort Whiskey is now available in selected online bookstores.
