Sara Taft is a liver transplant survivor, it was caused by an autoimmune disease at the age of sixty-two. “Mary Magdalene, Shaman” is her memoir of her healing journey. She is also an artist, and some of her works are featured in the book. She currently lives in Santa Monica, following the teachings of Thomas Merton.
