A prayer book that is keeping up with the times for modern-day Christian adults

Reverend Peter Vu provides his intended readers an opportunity to develop a dynamic prayer life through his prayer guide “Lord Jesus, I Want To See…: Adult Edition.” Reverend Vu’s book is geared towards modern Christians whose busy lives and hectic schedules negatively impact their prayer life. The prayer book makes a simple daily devotional that Christian adults can easily follow.

“Lord Jesus, I Want To See…: Adult Edition” provides a refreshing format for a daily devotional. Reverend Vu hopes his readers will find the book simple and easy to understand as he made sure the writings he shared will appeal to readers so they could read the reflections at any pace they want to.

The prayer book shares new forms of prayer other than the traditional way of praying, which is mainly reciting memorized prayers. Several Christian attributes such as generosity, kindness, faith, righteousness, and peacefulness are incorporated in every daily reflection for the readers to reflect on every day. Another good point about the prayer book is the exercise it has for readers to practice and enrich their spiritual life.

Most importantly, the contents of the prayer book are deeply rooted in the Holy Scriptures, despite its modernistic approach. This will help readers appreciate the Word of God and recognize the importance of prayer in their life. The book also tackles relatable issues and experiences that Reverend Vu included as points for reflection. Being comfortable with reading a book is a good way to start following such book from start to finish.

This book makes an essential resource for building the Christian character and nourishing spiritual life throughout the year. There are so many things that happen in the world day by day that distract Christians from keeping their daily devotions and finding time for Jesus. This book could not have come at a more opportune time.

“Lord Jesus, I Want To See…: Adult Edition” is recommended for Christians of the modern era. The book will be displayed at the upcoming 2018 New York Rights Fair this May 30, 2018.

About the Author
Rev. Peter G. Vu is the author of the memoir, “Living for Higher Purpose: Story of a City Boy Who Survived the Viet Nam War by Living for Jesus and Others.” He is also the author of 2 other devotional prayer books: “Lord Jesus, I Want to See… (Adult Edition)” and “Lord Jesus, I Want to See… (Family/Children Edition).” He is currently a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Grand Rapids, Michigan for twenty years and a chaplain at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. He was born in Saigon City, Viet Nam.

He was a young boy when the Viet Nam War ended. He witnessed the war and the end of it with great horror and deep appreciation for peace. He grew up under the communist government system and endured lots of hardship. What helped him and many of his countrymen tremendously during those dark days was their faith and prayers. His love for prayer and meditation was able to blossom.

After High School, Vu snuck out by boat and came to the United States of America to begin his seminary training. He attended one year of High School in the USA (Union High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan) to learn the language and new culture. He attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan for two years while staying at Christopher House Seminary. Then, the Seminary sent him out of state to attend his last two years of college at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated with double major: Mathematics and Philosophy. He then attended graduate school at the University of St. Mary of the Lake and Mundelein Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Vu graduated at the top of his class and was ordained with the Master Degree of Divinity (MDiv) and the Sacred Theology Baccalaureate (STB). He was a student of Most Reverend Bishop Robert Barron, who is the prolific writer and international speaker.

Vu has been ministering to people of God at six different churches over the last twenty years.
