How does one transition from a downtrodden life in plantations to a challenging role in the White House? Jimmy Mosley, a military veteran turned Sunday school teacher, has been through all that and more. He tells his story in his book, “Outhouse to Whitehouse.”

Mosley’s life in the Deep South might break the spirit of other men. From poverty and oppression, he stood tall in the face of obstacles and challenges. His experience of racism and discrimination did not clip his wings; instead, he became stronger and ever more determined to succeed. The journey brought him to the White House where he was exposed further to the racist practices within the infamous ceremonial unit-serving. Despite it all, Mosley persevered and turned his fortunes around through his unwavering faith in God and commitment to better his life.

With its message of hope and inspiration, “Outhouse to Whitehouse” will make readers realize just how blessed they are in this life and help them recognize the value of courage, determination, and perseverance. The book was featured in LitFire Publishing’s booth during the Tucson Festival of Books 2018. The prestigious event was held in the University of Arizona campus from March 10 to 11, 2018.
