The American Board of Industrial Hygiene® (ABIH®) uses social media to share information and updates, and to promote certification through the CIH® credential.

Lansing, MI – WEBWIRE

In addition to LinkedIn, ABIH® also actively uses Twitter and Facebook as other social media channels, which we encourage our Diplomates and industry professionals to follow.

Recently, the American Board of Industrial Hygiene’s LinkedIn group reached a new milestone with its 1000th member. The LinkedIn group, launched in late 2012, has been growing at a steady rate as Certified Industrial Hygienists and the industrial hygienist community increasingly turns to social media for news, updates and industry information.

Social media is a convenient and rapid way for ABIH® to disseminate information and to allow professionals to share ideas. ABIH® currently uses its LinkedIn group to post updates about the Certified Industrial Hygienist® (CIH®) program, promote industry certification, announce meetings and upcoming tradeshows that it will be participating in, and to provide a venue for industrial hygiene and environmental, health and safety professionals from across the globe to communicate and learn from industry leaders.

“We invite all CIHs and others in the profession to join the discussion at the ABIH® LinkedIn group,” said Jeffrey Miller, CIH® and Chair of ABIH®. “Don’t miss out on updates and news from ABIH® or the opportunity to network, ask questions, and even post and respond to job opportunities. In addition to LinkedIn, ABIH® also actively uses Twitter and Facebook as other social media channels, which we encourage our Diplomates and industry professionals to follow.”
