Love for Scripture Leads J.E. Becker to Ponder on the Book of Revelation

Various events led Judith Esther Becker, known as “Judy” to her friends, to take Biblical prophecy seriously – and then write a book about the Book of Revelation.
 
In college, she switched her major from Biology to Geology to match her husband Harvey’s degree. She thought the course would allow them to travel the world together but instead, it gave her a mission.
 
In 1958, she received the Lord Jesus as her savior after learning He is coming back – something she had never heard before despite being a preacher’s child. While poring over Chapter 24 of Matthew, she’s convinced the Second Coming of Jesus Christ will happen in her lifetime, having witnessed what was said.
 
As she investigated the doctrine of the Second Coming, people told her to study the Book of Revelation, which imagery and prophecy intrigued her. She was determined to find out their true meaning.
 
Her book “Rightly Dividing the Book of Revelation” is the culmination of years of intense study of Biblical prophecy. The author not only presents an exposition of Christian eschatology but also issues an urgent call to action for Christians in regard to the Second Coming of the Lord.
 
In many aspects, “Rightly Dividing the Book of Revelation” stands out as an eschatological thriller (although the book is not fiction, to begin with) and as an important resource on Christian eschatology that complements the Revelation which, the author believes, is not that hard to understand if one puts it together right in God’s way.
 
“The reason Revelation seems so hard is because it is not the whole picture,” said the author. “If you compare it to a puzzle, as I do on the cover, the book itself represents mostly the edge pieces that define the shape of the picture.”
 
The author emphasizes the role of the prophets in the study of Revelation. “The rest of the picture/story must be found in the prophets, the law, the gospels or the epistles.
 
“But in order to insert them into the edge pieces or place them into the story where they really belong, you need to follow the advice given above by Isaiah. This is what I do. Follow along as I lead you and you will see it is not as hard as you think.”
 
The author realized there was something absolutely beyond the normal going on in Revelation and she wanted some confirmation outside of what she thought. She had the hunger to understand what the book truly mean even though she struggled to comprehend certain concepts. Gradually the Lord opened it, which enabled her to write “Rightly Dividing the Book of Revelation.”

Judith E. Becker (also J.E. Becker), coming from a B.S. degree in Geology from Marietta College, Marietta, OH, has studied prophetic Scripture for 59 years, majoring mainly on the natural catastrophes mentioned throughout the Bible. Having written four complete manuscripts of Revelation, in 2015, she discovered a vital key she had been missing all those years.
