Vale announces an extension of the negotiation period with Federal Prosecutors

Vale was notified today of the decision rendered by the 12th Federal Court of Minas Gerais that accepted the request jointly made by Samarco, Vale BHP Brasil and the Federal Prosecutors to postpone until the 20th of April of 2018 the negotiation period of a new agreement regarding, among other matters, governance for the execution of the remediation programs. During this period, the suspension of the legal proceedings and injunctions involving the parties and in course before the 12th Federal Court of Minas Gerais will remain.
