San Jose, CA - Coggno recently integrated RPX with its elearning content creator and learning management system, providing simple and universal login for all learners and course administrators. Now accessing training courses and other e-learning content is simpler than ever.

Coggno no longer requires users to create a Coggno account, offering instead a broad range of login options. Through the RPX app, users can now access Coggno using identities from major sites such as Google, AOL, Yahoo!, Twitter, WordPress, MySpace, and Facebook.

“RPX will facilitate ease of signup and sign-in, which will make for greater learner participation and willingness to engage in the learning content,” says Coggno VP Tod Browndorf. Training students can avoid the frustrations of forgotten passwords and signing up/in with a separate Coggno user ID.

The RPX app helps solve a problem for many software providers such as Coggno: how to bring all the potential login options into a single and attractive login interface.

RPX allows Coggno learners and all users the option of signing up using identities from a range of sites, or to continue using an existing user ID. Additionally, learners who log on to Coggno using an ID from another site are able to bring over their contacts from that site.

Using Coggno’s learning management system which include a text editor, SCORM, question banking, and video, assessment, and quiz tools, organizations are able to provide feature rich training cost effectively, and public schools are able to provide students with free and powerful e-learning solutions.

Coggno’s business model allows for the creation of learning and training modules on a per use basis. Courseware authors can use Coggno’s authoring and distribution tools to easily sell and/or deliver content for in-house use.

The RPX application makes creating and deploying elearning content simpler for Coggno’s courseware authors, and most importantly of all, creates a better training experience for all learners.

RPX uses a range of protocols to authenticate a website’s users, as well as automatic upgrading (no libraries necessary), simple testing, data synchronization for user profile updates, and no vendor lock-in. RPX prevents user frustration with forgotten passwords.

This single-sign-on format allows Coggno’s learning management system users to skip the process of creating and recalling a Coggno login account, and get to the fun part--accessing, studying, creating, upgrading, or delivering feature-rich elearning content.
