Uniastrum placed over 1bn roubles on MICEX

Moscow 21.02.2006 Russian Uniastrum Bank successfully completed its first rouble bonds issue placement on MICEX -Moscow Exchange.
The issue was actually oversubscribed with 1.15 billion roubles changing hands.
The bonds will mature in three years with the first coupon priced at 12.5% p.a., which is in line with analysts’ expectations.
It is a very significant event for us - says Uniastrum chairman George Piskov - and it paves the way for our aspirations to become a public company to materialise.

Uniastrum is one of the most dynamic universal banks in Russia. It had recently been ranked 17th largest mortgage bank in Russian Federation.
The bank is headed by George Piskov, the chairman of the board, and Gagik Zakarian, who is the president. Lord Norman Lamont joined Uniastrum in January 2006 as a chairman of advisory board.
