NASHVILLE, TENN—Cummins Filtration (NYSE:CMI) announced today that they have expanded their product line to include convenient, smaller-sized packaging options as well as dispensing equipment for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).

Previously offered in bulk, 330 gallon plastic totes, 275 gallon disposable totes and 55 gallon plastic drums, Fleetguard DEF is now also available in 1 gallon, 2.5 gallon and 5 gallon containers. The dispensing equipment offered includes air and electric pumps for both drums and totes.

In addition to expanding their DEF product line, Cummins Filtration recently gained API certification for its DEF product. API certification is a voluntary program established by the American Petroleum Institute (API) to certify and monitor DEF throughout the supply chain from manufacturing to the end customer to ensure that product meets ISO specifications.

“Cummins has always been committed to providing high quality products our customers can depend on,” said KC Hall, Director of Diesel Exhaust Fluid Business Development. “Meeting the ISO specifications and adhering to the API certification process helps to reassure our customers that they have chosen a reliable DEF source with the consistent high quality controls required to optimize and protect their equipment investment.”

The extended range of Fleetguard DEF products is available to the broad Cummins Filtration network, which includes over 20,000 locations with nearly 8,000 retailers in North America. Unique amongst other DEF providers, this network will have the option to order DEF along with their filter and coolant products they are receiving from Cummins Filtration today.

“When one considers the supplier administration and transportation costs of alternative DEF supply, we believe our freight-included DEF offering will be an attractive alternative for many of our delivery locations,” said Hall. “We can also offer dedicated, streamlined DEF shipments as desired by our customers and as the DEF consumption demand grows in the future.”

Since 2003 Cummins Filtration has supplied DEF, the urea based solution necessary for SCR system functionality. More information about DEF including brochures, Q&A, training modules, and more can be found on cumminsfiltration.com/def.
