Imagine Optic™ to Present High-Precision Adaptive-Optics Products for High-Power Lasers Laser World of Photonics

Orsay France, June 11, 2009 – Imagine Optic, Europe’s leading manufacturer of Shack-Hartmann wavefront metrology and adaptive optics solutions is proud to announce that it will be presenting innovative adaptive-optics solutions for high-power lasers at the biannual Laser World of Photonics event held from June 15 to 18 in Munich.

On the Imagine Optic stand, number B1.479/5, the company will be providing demonstrations of its AOKit™ for high-power lasers. The AOKit combines a HASO™3-32 (or other, depending on the application) Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor, a monomorph deformable mirror from Cilas with CASAO™ adaptive optics command and control software. HASO’s unequalled measurement accuracy combined with Cilas’ monomorph technology and CASAO’s special safety features offer increased security for laser installations by reducing the risk of downtime due to damage to expensive components such as rods and compressors. Similar systems are currently being used at the AWE’s Orion laser, LIL at the Laser Megajoule and the Max Plank Institute for Quantum Physics.

BFi-OPTiLAS, Imagine Optic’s distributor in several European countries, with be providing demonstrations of precision metrology with the compact HASO First on stand B1.419. HASO First is a compact Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor designed for applications ranging from laser beam metrology to industrial quality control.
