EMSL’s Canadian Laboratory Awarded NVLAP Accreditation for Asbestos Analysis

The Toronto area environmental testing facility has been busy since opening their doors earlier this month.

EMSL Analytical, a leading provider of advanced environmental laboratory services, has recently announced their Canadian laboratory has been accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for bulk asbestos fiber analysis (PLM).

The exciting news has been spreading quickly with area asbestos and environmental professionals who previously had limited local choices for their asbestos analysis. The recognition by NVLAP adds to the impressive list of accreditations EMSL and its close to 40 laboratory locations currently possess.

The new laboratory brings EMSL’s legendary customer service and competitive pricing directly to Canadian customers. In addition to the Canadian staff, EMSL has 17 Ph.D.s and 3 CIHs complementing a professional staff of almost 500 employees in the United States and Canada who provide the industry’s greatest capabilities and resources.

“EMSL is pleased to be receiving this recognition by NVLAP,” reported Paul Cochrane, Marketing Director at EMSL Analytical. “Canadian asbestos professionals have been waiting for this positive development and the expertise that EMSL brings to the market with over 28 years of asbestos testing experience. In the near future EMSL also plans on bringing TEM capabilities to the Toronto laboratory,” Cochrane went on to report.
