New Collection Enhancement Technology Available to Health Care Providers

Tampa, Florida – A new technology to help health care providers increase their collections was released today. The Internet-based system, known as Rehab Integrity Pro, is for use by practitioners who render physical rehabilitation services.

Vanguard Healthcare Solutions, the company responsible for the unique application, has developed what could rapidly become a new product category for the health care industry: collection enhancement systems. Whereas billing and collection are often grouped together as a single function, they actually represent two separate and distinct efforts. Providers have numerous software choices to assist them with the billing function. However, until the advent of Rehab Integrity Pro, there were no electronic systems that focused solely on helping a practice enhance their collections.

Obtaining adequate reimbursement for services rendered is a constant challenge for health care providers. Payers are continuously employing alternative and aggressive cost-containment measures: Many focus on limiting or denying provider payments. Accordingly, what a provider bills is not what they actually collect. “Rehab Integrity Pro uses a distinctive and proven methodology to overcome payer challenges. It works in conjunction with any billing software and focuses on raising the collection rate as a percentage of billings,” said Dennis Albert, director of marketing for Vanguard.

Albert goes on to point out, “Many providers think they need to add services, hire additional staff or purchase equipment to increase their collections. Those may work, but they’re costly. Rehab Integrity Pro represents an entirely new and inexpensive option to increasing a practice’s bottom line.”
