The UK’s largest independent web marketing company, which has recently taken premises at the Octagon building in Colchester, is bucking the recession trend by launching a new recruitment drive to meet client demand.

High Position, which specialises in web design and search engine optimisation, is already 40 strong, but is set to expand it’s workforce by 37%, tying in with the growth strategy that it has followed since day one to strengthen its team.

This year the company has already seen impressive growth in its figures, doubling its revenues in each of the last three years.

Steve Dart, managing director of High Position, said: “This expansion is very exciting. Not only have we moved into a new office recently, but now we have new client wins, which creates the need for more members of the team.

“We recently held a recruitment evening so that people could come and talk to us about what we do and see some of the work that we have achieved. We are looking to recruit for a wide range of vacancies, from data entry to web coders. In particular, we need people who can fit into our culture, at the heart of which is a passion for excellence.”

“To have this level of growth in the current climate has amazed us all, and we would like to thank our team for making it possible.”

Founded in 1995, High Position has achieved number one positions for generic search terms in Google for clients including LloydsTSB for ‘business loan’, Budget Car & Van Rental for ‘car hire’, haart Estate Agents for ‘estate agent’ and Hillarys Blinds for ‘blinds’. The company is also a strategic partner of Sony Europe.

High Position was voted Best UK Search agency by topSEOs in January 2009. The senior management team includes Head of Search Shaun Parker, Commercial Director Terry Heffernan – who is a former IT Manager for GlaxoSmithKline, and Non-Executive Director Guilio Brunini, Yahoo’s former European Head of Marketing Solutions and former CEO of BrandAmp.
