NFL Veteran Wayne Chrebet Joins Morgan Stanley’s Red Bank, NJ Office

Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) announced today that Wayne Chrebet, National Football League (NFL) veteran and former wide receiver with the New York Jets, has joined the Firm’s Global Wealth Management Group (GWMG) office in Red Bank, NJ as a Financial Advisor.

Mr. Chrebet joins The Moldaver Group, one of Morgan Stanley’s leading wealth management teams, led by Senior Vice President Ed Moldaver. The team consists of 6 investment professionals and provides a range of wealth management services to the affluent. Mr. Moldaver is a member of the Chairman’s Club, Morgan Stanley’s top recognition club for Financial Advisors, and was recently invited to attend Barron’s Winner’s Circle fourth-annual “Top Advisors Summit,” an exclusive conference for wealth management leaders and industry decision makers.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Chrebet played in the NFL for 11 seasons. In 1995, as a walk-on, he earned a spot with the New York Jets as a wide receiver. During his tenure with the Jets, he set the NFL record for the most receptions by a wide receiver in his first two seasons. In 2004, Sports Illustrated dubbed Mr. Chrebet’s career history as “one of the greatest rags to riches stories in the history of professional sports.”

Mr. Chrebet has received numerous awards including New York Newsday’s “Jet of the Year,” the Dennis Byrd Award for “Most Inspirational Player,” the New York Jets “Unsung Hero” Award, the Thurman Munson Award for outstanding efforts on and off the field and in serving the community, and the Ed Block Courage Award. He is actively involved with The Colleen Gibson Foundation, The United Way, The Boomer Esiason Foundation, The Starlight Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Additionally, both Messrs. Chrebet and Moldaver are active within The Alliance of the Guardian Angels, an organization led by founder Curtis Sliwa that helps low income neighborhoods deal with bullying and gang activity. In 2007, Mr. Moldaver proudly received the Angel of the Year award from Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Mr. Sliwa. On June 9, Mr. Chrebet will be receiving “The Guardian Angel Role Model For Real Life Award” to honor his contributions as well as his integrity both on and off the football field. Previous honorees include Rudy Giuliani, George Pataki, John Catsimatidis and Carl Icahn.

Mr. Chrebet, 36, earned an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Hofstra University.
