D-LINK® routers for small-to-medium businesses rise to top of it channels bestsellers list
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.— D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, has been named to the 2009 Bestsellers List published by Computer Resellers News’ Everything Channel.
The manufacturer and marketer of computer networking equipment achieved the largest gain in sales volume of routers to value-added resellers (VARs) and other solution providers that make up the information technology (IT) sales channel.
The list, which appeared in the recent issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.channelweb.com, “helps channel participants make strategic decisions and educated recommendations about top-selling products and recognizes the most popular technology categories and brands,” according to Robert C. DeMarzo, senior vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel. “We applaud the vendors who made the list.”
“We are pleased that our routers have made significant gains in the SMB sales channel, and attribute it to our continued support we offer to our VARs and solution providers,” said Nick Tidd, vice president of sales for Pan America and vice president of marketing for North America, D-Link.
“In today’s economy, our partners need and deserve more support and flexibility than ever before,” Tidd said, adding that D-Link’s partners are especially focused on the government, education, hospitality/tourism, transportation and other key markets where fast communications, surveillance and security are primary concerns.
“We are driving sales for our partners through demand-generation programs in key markets leveraging the D-Link sales team. This proven approach creates profitable relationships with our partners.”
Tidd added that “as a 100% channel company, D-Link’s sole focus is on our resellers and their needs.”
CRN partnered with the NPD Group, the world’s leading provider of technology market research information, to compile the data.
The CRN Channel Bestsellers List represents the top five best-selling technologies in 20 categories, and the leading channel bestseller and top growth product in each category.
The Number One channel bestseller is determined by market share data from all of 2008, while the top growth bestseller is determined by comparing the sales growth from 2007 to 2008.
