XM Satellite Radio To Broadcast Big East Conference Collegiate Football And Basketball Games

Washington D.C., February 13, 2006 -- XM Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: XMSR), the nation’s largest satellite radio service with more than 6 million subscribers, announced today that it has signed a long-term agreement with The BIG EAST Conference. The BIG EAST sponsorship provides XM with the exclusive satellite radio broadcast rights to the BIG EAST Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships along with select regular season games during football and basketball season. As “The Official Satellite Radio Service of The BIG EAST Conference,” XM will have marketing rights to all BIG EAST Championship events, and promotional use of the BIG EAST marks, media and other proprietary marketing assets. Nelligan Sports Marketing, Inc., who represents the official BIG EAST Sponsorship Program, brokered this agreement for the Conference.

XM will begin broadcasting BIG EAST Conference games on February 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET on XM Channel 200 when the University of Pittsburgh Panthers take on the Providence College Friars. Additional XM broadcasts include:

* February 22, 9 p.m. ET, XM Channel 200 - DePaul vs. Louisville
* March 1, 7:30 p.m. ET, XM Channel 200 - St. John’s vs. Villanova
