These organizations rely on Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec to protect their data and systems in both physical and virtual environments through a single solution, helping them reduce server, network and storage requirements and improve recovery time and reliability. Through tight integration with VMware, NetBackup and Backup Exec deliver market leading support for virtual environments and the most efficient virtual machine backups possible.

“Symantec is committed to solving customers’ most pressing data protection challenges,” said Matt Kixmoeller, vice president of product management, Symantec Data Protection Group. “With the latest releases of NetBackup and Backup Exec, businesses of all sizes can be confident that they are protecting their virtual machines by leveraging Symantec’s Granular Recovery Technology for VMware, allowing the recovery of entire virtual machines (VMDK files) or individual files and folders from a single pass backup.”
