Marriott Rewards Wins Best Hotel Loyalty Program for the 10th Time Plus 8 Other First Place Finishes - The Most of Any Program


Bethesda, MD .-Marriott Rewards, Marriott International’s (NYSE:MAR) guest loyalty program, won nine Freddie Awards in this year’s ceremony, including Best Program in the Americas for the 10th time, and placed in the top three in every category. The Freddie Awards are announced each year by Randy Petersen, publisher and editor of Inside Flyer magazine, and recognize excellence in frequent traveler programs globally. Results are determined by reader surveys.

Marriott Rewards took first place in the following categories:

Earlier this year, Marriott Rewards eliminated black out dates. Now the program’s 30 million members can redeem points every night of the year at 2,900 Marriott International hotels around the world, including Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn by Marriott, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, SpringHill Suites by Marriott, Marriott Vacation Club and Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club. Members can also choose to earn points at 3,000 hotels or airline miles with one of the program’s 31 airline partners.

Marriott Rewards points may be redeemed for hotel stays, frequent flyer miles, cruises, car rentals, brand-name merchandise and more. Marriott Rewards has been named “Best Hotel Rewards Program” by the readers of Business Traveler, Global Traveler, Travel Savvy, Executive Travel and BusinessWeek magazines.
