Dubuque, Iowa—February 10, 2006 — CartęGraph is proud to announce the release of its new ArcGIS-embedded products, GEODATAconnect and GISdirector. The new products were developed with the assistance of ESRI technical staff and local government clients. A number of current CartęGraph clients have installed and implemented the software and are currently using it for their day-to-day operations.

CartęGraph GEODATAconnect and GISdirector will bring the power of CartęGraph’s flexTECHNOLOGY—fully customizable software—to the geodatabase and make TRUE Public Works Management embedded in ArcGIS a reality. GIS users and public works professionals will be able to create and edit data either via CartęGraph software or through ESRI ArcGIS Desktop or ArcObjects tools.

“We have made an investment in ESRI and CartęGraph products and have utilized CartęGraph technology to link them together. But, with CartęGraph’s new ArcGIS-embedded products, we are very excited that we can now integrate these investments seamlessly,” commented Paul Leedham, GIS Coordinator for the City of Hudson, OH. “With the new CartęGraph software installed we have the ability to read and write directly to the geodatabase from either environment.”

The new GEODATAconnect product establishes live connections to the geodatabase. This provides the user with multiple geodatabase connections as well as view and edit functionality for geodatabase fields in the CartęGraph software with no redundant data entry. Other features include ability for the user to automatically create new fields in CartęGraph from the geodatabase, geocoding, maps in reports and maps in the citizen request module, CALLdirector.

The new GISdirector product provides CartęGraph flexFORMS inside of ArcGIS. It also allows for true Public Works Management inside of ArcGIS, highlighting fully functional pavement, sewer and water utilities management.

“The combination of CartęGraph asset management tools and ESRI GIS technology provides a very complete Infrastructure Management Solution for our clients,” stated Stephen Kinzy, ESRI Regional Manager – St. Louis.

State and local governments can now leverage their investment in their ESRI ArcGIS solution. The distribution of the new product will be a partnering effort of CartęGraph and the ESRI Business Partners Channel.
