Redwood Shores, CA .- Oracle today announced that it is participating in the 3rd annual World Retail Congress, being held in Barcelona, May 6-8.
Oracle’s session on ‘making sustainability good business’ will reveal how some of the world’s leading retailers are continuing to develop strategies around sustainability to improve business practice. The session will feature an impressive panel including Lucy Neville-Rolfe of Tesco, Andrew Jennings of Woolworths in South Africa, David Shriver of Carrefour, and Guy Champniss of Havas Media.
‘The new developing markets - the who, how, why, where and when’ is another Oracle facilitated session focusing on some of the world’s most enticing new retail markets including South East Asia, Turkey and Poland. Panelists will include Mehmet Nane of Teknosa, Maciej Dyjas of Empik Media & Fashion Group (EM&F), Isak Halfon of Mango, Francis McAuley of Debenhams and Mark Olbrich of Komex.
Oracle remains headline sponsor of the prestigious World Retail Awards, which recognise excellence, innovation, responsibility and creativity in retail organisations around the world. Teams from three of the world’s most respected retail business colleges, including the Fashion Retail Academy in London, have submitted entries, and each team will present their concept at the World Retail Congress.
