NAB Show Highlights to be Distributed Online via Highwinds’ Content Delivery Network

WINTER PARK, Fla. - Highwinds Network Group, Inc., a multi-platform IP services and content distribution provider, today announced that the National Association of Broadcasters has selected Highwinds as its content delivery network (CDN) partner for the 2009 NAB Show. Video highlights from this year’s NAB Show will be delivered to online audiences over the Highwinds CDN during and after the event, taking place April 18-23 in Las Vegas.

Highwinds is working closely with the National Association of Broadcasters and Digital Rapids, who is providing transcoding technology onsite at this year’s show. Video of the event, including daily highlights, studio segments, and attendee and exhibitor interviews will be available for on-demand distribution to worldwide audiences over the Highwinds CDN. The video content will be available through the NAB Show web site at www.nabshow.com.

“We are honored to be working with NAB, the leading authority on the ever-evolving broadcast industry, to make this year’s NAB Show highlights available to online audiences,” said Steve Miller, president and CEO of Highwinds. “The video coverage from this year’s show will be invaluable to individuals who are unable to be in Las Vegas next week and for those who want a recap of the show’s highlights. We are pleased to make the online video available to worldwide viewers over the Highwinds CDN.”

With bandwidth capacity and speeds found in only a handful of today’s content delivery networks, the Highwinds CDN supports the delivery of live and on-demand video from some of the world’s largest broadcasters of media and entertainment content. Highwinds’ real-time command and control features in its StrikeTracker® media console enable users to self-provision live events and upload video for immediate propagation over their network. StrikeTracker also offers the industry’s most comprehensive set of reporting tools, including the ability to view real-time analytics.

NAB Show, www.nabshow.com, is the world’s largest electronic media show covering filmed entertainment and the development, management and delivery of content across all mediums.
