Rangeley Property Gets New Name & Web Site

The owners of the Saddleback Motor Lodge in Rangeley have announced a new name and a new Web site for their year-round destination property located on Route 4 just south of the village of Rangeley. Don and Blue Smith of Scarborough purchased the property in July of 2007 and have recently renamed it the Rangeley Saddleback Inn and launched a new Web site at

“We are excited to see what the Internet can do for us - especially in this economy - you must be aggressive, not complacent, in your actions to get new business,” stated Blue Smith. “Not only that, we love Rangeley and the Maine Wilderness - and want others to see what this region has to offer.”

After Don and Blue Smith bought the property, they opened for business just five months later with a new restaurant on site, a new family game room, indoor pool and Jacuzzi, re-designed rooms with flat screen TV’s, granite bathroom vanities and luxury queen size beds, along with four pet-friendly rooms.

The renovations have been met with great approval from the guests.

“I stayed at the Rangeley Saddleback Inn for one night and it was wonderful. The rooms have been newly renovated, and you can really tell. Everything looked new and fresh,” according to one visitor’s posting on the popular travel Web site

Due to the recent launch of their Web site, the Inn’s management team has already seen an increase in online traffic and reservations. The Smiths will continue working with the agency that designed their new Web site, Marshall Interactive, to implement and manage their Internet marketing campaigns, including search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising and an e-Newsletter strategy.

The Rangeley Saddleback Inn will offer a number of affordable spring and summer specials. To celebrate Mother’s Day weekend, rooms at the Inn are only $100 per night from May 3-17, including a free $35 meal voucher to any local eatery, and complimentary gift baskets with everything a mom needs for a relaxing getaway. The Inn is also offering specials during mud season, including discounted rates and meal vouchers through the end of May.
