New Hires Highlight MediaGlow’s Strategy to Provide Users with Higher Standard of Editorial Content

New York, NY .– StyleList.com, http://www.stylelist.com, the top-ranked style and beauty site,* is expanding its staff with three industry leaders who will bring top category expertise to the site’s daily style and beauty coverage. The new editorial staff members are Diane Davis, Sarah Cristobal and Laura Kenney.

The staff expansion builds on the successful StyleList.com redesign in September 2008, and is consistent with the overall strategy for the AOL MediaGlow publishing unit, http://www.mediaglow.com, to provide consumers with the highest standard of original editorial content. Similar hires are taking place at FanHouse.com, http://www.fanhouse.com, and AOL News, http://news.aol.com, as this initiative builds throughout the MediaGlow division.

“At a time when the print media industry is struggling, MediaGlow and StyleList are committed to bringing our consumers the best in beauty, fashion and style coverage,” said Stephanie Dolgins, Senior Vice President, AOL Women’s & Lifestyle Programming. “The addition of Diane, Sarah and Laura shows our commitment to that passion as well as our goal to further grow our leadership role within the style category.”

The new editorial staff consists of:

* Diane Davis, Director: Davis will direct all content development for StyleList.com. Previously, Diane was the lifestyle editor at the Associated Press, where she revamped and directed coverage of food, fashion, home/garden and parenting. She was formerly metropolitan editor at Newsday, overseeing all coverage of New York City news;
* Sarah Cristobal, Senior Fashion Editor: Cristobal, charged with running all fashion style coverage, comes to StyleList.com from Harper’s Bazaar’s online destination, Bazaar.com, where she was the founding editor;
* Laura Kenney, Beauty Editor: Kenney will oversee all beauty and hair content. Previously, she served as editorial manager at Sephora.com, where she created Sephora’s Beauty and the Blog, YouTube, Facebook and iTunes channels.

StyleList.com is the No. 1 style website, with more than 5.1 million unique visitors,* and is part of the AOL Living network of sites, one of the top three online sites for women, with more than 16.4 million monthly unique visitors, all according to February 2009 comScore Media Metrix.
