The website indirectly serves as an avenue for stylists to advertise for free. They use the photo album feature to take pictures of clients and display jazzy black hair styles. Everybody has their own blog, people can join groups, and stylists and clients can talk in forums and chat! Members also have the opportunity to post classified ads, participate in polls, and announce hair shows and events.

This idea came about when Dana was having extreme difficulties finding a great stylist to call her own. However, Dana’s hopes were quickly dashed when her hair stylist told her the sad news that she was no longer in her shop. Unfortunately, the stylist had fallen on hard times. Dana had grown attached to the lady since she drove all the way from Houston to Dallas to do her hair for her wedding! Since Dana wanted to start a better beauty regimen, black hair care was a top priority. Dana revealed, “I was frustrated because I knew that finding a good stylist is like searching for the Holy Grail. You know how the process goes—word of mouth. I tried to get on Google, and I didn’t really like the results that I received.”

No disrespect to those websites because they give those members great benefits, but stylists and clients need a cheaper and more efficient way of finding the exact person they are looking for.
