RESTON, Va.—Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading saving- and paying-for-college company, today announced that, for the sixth time, it has been recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) as one of America’s Top Companies for Executive Women.

“We have always been very proud to be a company in which talented women can thrive at all levels of the organization,” said Joni Reich, senior vice president, Sallie Mae. “We are honored by NAFE’s continued recognition of our efforts to provide a supportive culture of advancement for Sallie Mae women and for all of our valued employees.”

The annual survey examined the number of women in each company overall, in senior management, and on its board of directors. To be named to the NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women, companies with a minimum of two women on the Board of Directors completed a comprehensive application that focused on the number of women in senior ranks (compared to men and to the total company population), and that included questions about the programs and policies that support women’s advancement.
