Unisys and Air Canada Extend Air Cargo and Logistics Relationship

Contracts extend Hosting and Integration Services for five additional years and Cargo Portal Services for three years

BLUE BELL, Pa. – Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that Air Canada has extended its existing contracts for two Unisys air cargo solutions -- Hosting & Integration Services (HIS) and Cargo Portal Services (CPS).The contract extensions were both signed in December 2008.

“Our relationship with Unisys has worked very well for us. As well as providing our enterprise system as a hosted service, we also collaborate on eBooking, Cargo 2000 shipment quality services and integration with specialist third-party software. In today’s tight economic environment, we found value in reviewing and extending our agreements and are confident that Unisys commitment in the ongoing evolution of their products will provide our employees with best of breed solutions for the years to come,” says Lise-Marie Turpin, managing director of Air Canada Cargo.

Under the terms of the Hosting & Integration Services agreement, which now extends through 2015, Unisys will continue to host Air Canada on the Unisys Logistics Management System at its data center in Minneapolis, USA. Air Canada’s ongoing participation in the service gives the company use of a proven web-based system with the benefit of having access to ongoing improvements needed to satisfy the requirement of a substantial community of other carriers.

The other Unisys solution for Air Canada Cargo, CPS, is an Internet portal for the air cargo industry. It brings together a range of carriers and forwarders in a neutral and innovative portal with cross-market appeal. It also aids in reducing transaction costs and automating key processes for air cargo service providers. The current contract extends the CPS engagement for three years through 2011.

Unisys and Air Canada have worked together for more than ten years. “We are pleased with Air Canada Cargo’s latest commitment and appreciate their wider support for our solutions,” said Christopher Shawdon, vice president, Logistics Solutions for Unisys. “Air Canada Cargo is also the current Chair of our Unisys Cargo User Group so its executives are actively involved in providing input for new developments in our solutions and work with our client community.”
