Music is in the Air at The Retreat at Santa Rita Springs

Green Valley, Ariz. – What do International Mariachi America de Gilbert Velez and Gilbert Brown have in common? Both will perform Spring concerts at The Retreat at Santa Rita Springs in Green Valley.

The musicians share another musical bond that’s of particular interest to aficionados: Both have ties to Southern Arizona’s legendary singing diva Linda Ronstadt.

Ronstadt, one of Tucson’s most famous musical prodigies, has performed and recorded with Gilbert Velez and his world famous International Mariachi America. Ajo native Gilbert Brown, a celebrated songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, recorded and toured exclusively for many years with fellow musician Michael J. Ronstadt (Linda’s brother) in his Santa Cruz River Band.

These talented musicians are sure to delight the crowd when they make very special, small venue appearances at Green Valley’s newest independent living community this Spring.

Overlooking the Santa Rita Mountains, this new rental community of 160 apartments and 36 casitas offers an ongoing program of culturally diverse activities.
