Mumbai – Bayer Technology Services GmbH (BTS) celebrated the official opening of its first regional office in India today enlarging its presence in the fast growing Asian markets. The inauguration took place only a few weeks after opening its regional hub in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Customers benefit now from a strong Asian network steered by the regional BTS-headquarters in Shanghai (Peoples Republic of China). The short ceremony was co-hosted by Achim Noack, Managing Director of Bayer Technology Services GmbH, Dr. Armin Knors, Managing Director of Bayer Technology and Engineering (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, and Matthias Rauck, Head of BTS India.

“It is a consistent strategy of BTS to serve the customers on-site, and through the establishment of the India Office we now provide tailored services to Indian customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries,” said Noack at the ceremony. The services include all phases of investment projects, state-of-the-art technological solutions and optimization tools to improve energy efficiency or supply chains, to name only a few.

Since its legal independence in October 2003 the company continues to support Bayer´s operating subgroups in the design, construction and optimization of plants and also markets these services to external customers worldwide.

Operating as a subsidiary of Bayer Technology Services GmbH, Bayer Technology and Engineering (Shanghai) Company Ltd. and its affiliates in Dubai and now India have been established to serve the international engineering service company’s growing number of customers in the Asia Pacific region. Dr. Knors stressed that the company’s competence in Asia lies in its excellent knowledge of the local market coupled with global expertise and its professional team. “We see great potential in this market. We are also fully capable to stand locally as a trustee to our customers in evaluating and supplying high quality technical equipment made in Asia to the customers worldwide,” said Dr. Knors.
