GourmetKickz "Food for the Sole" Serves up Custom Sneaker Art by Chef: Fresh Out of the Oven! "Notorious B.I.G. Custom Air Force One (AF1) Low Series"

(New Haven, CT) The custom sneaker artist known as “Chef” of GourmetKickz has taken his custom sneaker brand to new heights with his latest release commemorating the life and times of Notorious B.I.G. Chef has used his latest innovation in 3D sneaker design, the GourmetKickz Creator, to render life-like mock-ups of 3 custom sneaker designs that pull inspiration from iconic images of the late Christopher Wallace.

The sneakers are being made to order and are only available on www.gourmetkickz.com. There is no word as to how many of these masterpieces will be hand made, but from the looks of these mock-ups the Custom Nike AF1 Low Notorious B.I.G. Tribute Series by GourmetKickz will not last long.

One of the most striking sneakers uses an image of Biggie Smalls wearing a crown. Overlaid on the entire front half of an all white Nike AF1 Low, Chef couples the image with some heart felt dates; B.I.G’s birth date and the date of his passing. The words “R.I.P.” and “B.I.G.” also cradle the heel of this particular shoe, making the choice to either wear with pride or place into a glass case a very tough one.

Another version uses the artwork of Shepard Fairey as an inspiration, while another uses artwork from the “Biggie Duets” album. The latter of the two pulls a phrase from Diddy’s homage to his fellow Bad Boy’s passing, “We Miss You” on one side, and “Notorious” on the other side.

These custom sneakers are conveniently priced at $309.97, once again referencing that fateful day 12 years ago when the world of hip-hop mourned the loss of a King. This series of customs is surely a collector’s item for any true B.I.G. fan.
