COMPUTERLINKS Becomes a Crossbeam CASP-ATP Partner to Deliver More Profitable, Cost-Effective Training Programs

BOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Crossbeam Systems, Inc., the leading provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, today announced that it has expanded its partner ecosystem by signing UK distributor COMPUTERLINKS as its first Northern European Crossbeam Accredited Service Provider - Authorized Training Partner (CASP-ATP). The CASP program is a community of strategic partners that sells Crossbeam solutions and associated training, professional services and technical support.

CASP-ATP partners offer training for channel partners and customers to become Crossbeam Certified Specialists (CCS). A key benefit to becoming a CASP-ATP partner is the unique model for delivering training that Crossbeam offers through its Remote Training Lab, which eliminates the need for capital investments in expensive lab kits. ATP partners can combine their professional training facilities with Crossbeam’s fully-equipped remote lab to deliver high-quality Crossbeam training to their delegates. This provides COMPUTERLINKS with unmatched flexibility in how and where it provides training, and increases its ability to generate revenue.

“Since we joined the CASP-ATP program in 2008, we’ve more than doubled the number of trained certified specialists and more than quadrupled the number of courses we have been able to deliver,” said Martin Hall, training division manager at COMPUTERLINKS. “While we’ve been offering Crossbeam training for years, becoming a CASP-ATP has made it much more profitable and is helping us meet the growing demand for our services.”

COMPUTERLINKS has increased its capacity to deliver Crossbeam training by almost 400 percent in the last year and expects that number to grow in 2009 as more classes are added to their scheduled timetable.

“COMPUTERLINKS is a well-known and respected IT security distributor,” said Crossbeam’s director of Worldwide Professional Services Thien Doan. “They have world-class facilities with dedicated and highly respected instructors, and training is one of their core competencies. By becoming a CASP-ATP partner, COMPUTERLINKS is taking its commitment to the next level. They are a great example of how the CASP program is helping partners deliver more value to their customers and improve the overall value to the business. With today’s tough economy, it’s important to find ways to engage more strategically with our channel to drive new opportunities. We believe this is what the CASP program offers.”
