MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Feb. 03, 2006 -- Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) kicked off the first major printing industry trade show of 2006 with a commanding presence at the co-located Xplor and the Graphics of the Americas Exhibition.

Xerox highlights include seven presentations, the debut of two printing systems, and a booth packed with software, services and systems to help the graphic communications and transactional printing industries profit and grow.

Speaking at Xplor, Michael Kucharski, vice president, Xerox Production Solutions Business Team, Production Systems Group, challenged the audience to move past traditional business strategies and look at color and digital printing technology as the keys to growth and profitability.

“It is time for print providers to align themselves with the right business model, the right workflow and the right technology so they, in turn, can bring value-added services to their customers while differentiating themselves from the competition,” Kucharski said.

At the Graphics of the Americas Exhibition, Xerox unveiled the Xerox 6204 Wide Format Solution - the right technology to help print providers profit from the growing digital wide-format printing market. The Xerox 6204 is a black-and-white copier and printer for commercial print shops and architectural, engineering and construction companies. It is one of the fastest products in its class and is designed to produce engineering renderings, topographic and aerial maps, and mechanical and architectural drawings.

Xerox also expanded the availability of the Xerox 495 Continuous Feed Duplex Printer, an entry-level digital system that prints transactional and publishing documents - such as utility bills, bank statements, owners’ manuals and catalogs - at 500 images per minute. Previously available in Europe, the system is now available in Argentina and Chile. The Xerox 495 will be available in all Latin American markets, including Brazil, in the second quarter.

Xerox’s 4,200-square-foot booth at Graphics of the Americas is filled with business-generating strategies geared to the graphic communications industry, such as personalizing for profit, print on-demand, and book solutions. Attendees will also learn how to maximize digital technology investments with Xerox ProfitAccelerator™ Digital Business Resources. Drawings for ProfitAccelerator business development tool kits will occur throughout the show.

Enovation Graphic Systems, a Xerox workflow partner and reseller, will be on hand to help commercial printers learn how to leverage offset and digital integration. In 2005, Enovation successfully integrated Xerox digital presses into more than 70 commercial print shops, the majority of which had no previous digital experience.

Other Xerox business partners supporting the booth include Challenge Machinery Company, C.P. Bourg, Creo Inc., EFI, GBC, Press-sense, Standard Finishing Systems, Horizon International Inc., and XMPie Inc.
