Weber Shandwick Australia Named PR Agency of the Year by AdNews
SYDNEY, Australia - Weber Shandwick Australia has been named PR Agency of the Year at the 2008 AdNews awards in recognition of its continued success and growth throughout 2008.
This award recognises the world-class work that Weber Shandwick has produced in the past 12 months, which has seen the agency become one of the most awarded agencies in Australia.
In 2008, Weber Shandwick received eight award nominations and six wins, making it the most successful award year to date for the firm. Sydney has fast become one of the most successful offices in the Asia Pacific network.
Sydney’s managing director, Emma-Jane Granleese, said the award was testament to the talented pool of PR professionals at the agency, and was delighted to accept the award on their behalf. “To be the recipient of the AdNews PR Agency of the Yearaward is a fantastic achievement and highlights our ongoing commitment to achieving success for our clients through creating and executing campaigns that consistently deliver outstanding results,” Granleese said.
Summarising the firm’s achievements, Granleese said: “2008 has been a benchmark year for Weber Shandwick in Australia. In addition to award-winning creativity, we have seen the business almost double in size. The combination of excellent strategic planning, hands-on leadership and a team made up of some of the best practitioners around means we’re able to continue producing outstanding work for our clients.
