Plast Milan 2006 - Preview

The ARKEMA Group is taking part in the International Exhibition for Plastics & Rubber Industries in Milan, Italy. From Tuesday 14 February to Saturday 18 February 2006, ARKEMA will showcase its product portfolio on Stand C 06, Hall 24.
Arkema will be presenting its comprehensive range of Lacovyl® PVC resins. Through synergies with other Arkema businesses engaged in the same markets (plasticizers, plastic additives), Lacovyl® PVC offers Arkema’s customers a comprehensive product range and a reactive commercial relationship.

Arkema now markets its entire range of fuel line multilayer systems for the automotive market. under the trademark Rilperm®

As one of the leading polymer manufacturers, Arkema will present its Pebax® Polyether Block Amide which combines the overall characteristics of polyamides with the elastomeric property of rubber: Pebax® has become an essential element of top-of-the-range sports shoes, to which it imparts light weight, suppleness and straightforward moulding, whilst ensuring long-lasting and outstanding dynamic properties in daily use.

Other Arkema products will also be on display:
- Kynar® Fluorinated Polymer
- Functional Polyolefins (Orevac®, Lotryl®, Lotader®, Evatane®)
- Luperox® Organic Peroxides.
- Additives (Durastrength®, Clearstrength®, Plastistrength® and Mattifying Agent).

Vinyl Compounds (formulated PVC) marketed under the tradename Nakan® will also be present at PLAST 06. A Nakan® product range has been developed by the Arkema subsidiary Resilia specifically for the medical sector, in particular for the following rigid or flexible applications: breathing masks, catheters, breathing tubes, blood bags and drips.

Altuglas International is the PMMA (Polymethylmethacrylate) Business Unit of Arkema for the production of acrylic resin and sheet, capstocks, and polycarbonate sheet.
Altuglas International’s two main trademarks for acrylic resin and sheet are:
- Altuglas® in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and the Middle East,
- Plexiglas® in North America and Latin America, while Tuffak® is the worldwide trademark for polycarbonate.
