Prosafe acquires VLCC

Tananger, 3 February 2006, Prosafe has entered into an agreement to purchase a VLCC. The vessel was built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in 1988 and has a storage capacity of 1.9 million barrels. (3 Feb 2006)
Prosafe has observed a strong demand for FPSOs, and considers that the vessel is a very suitable candidate for several identified projects.
Prosafe is the world´s leading owner and operator of semi-submersible service rigs and a major owner and operator of floating production and storage vessels outside the North Sea.
