Sybase iAnywhere Nokia Intellisync Migration Program to Support Concept Connections Customers

DUBLIN, CALIF. — Sybase iAnywhere today announced that Concept Connections, one of the largest Nokia Intellisync Certified Expert Mobility Partners in North America, is extending its customer support around business mobility solutions through the Sybase® iAnywhere® Nokia Intellisync Migration Program. The partnership is aimed at supporting businesses that were affected by Nokia’s decision to stop the development and marketing of its behind-the-firewall business mobility solutions. The program offers Nokia Intellisync customers free copies of select mobile middleware components, including wireless email, device management and security.

“This program could not have come at a better time for our customers,” said Mark Rebert, Managing Director, Concept Connections. “Our partnership with Sybase iAnywhere will enable our customers to continue with their strategic mobility projects through a cost-effective migration path to the industry’s leading mobile middleware solutions. We’re seeing a high level of interest and expect many of our Intellisync customers to utilize the program.”

Sybase has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Wireless E-Mail Software, May 2008i and 2008 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms.ii Sybase was also recently recognized as a top mobile middleware market leader for the sixth consecutive year by IDC.iii

The Sybase iAnywhere migration program offers Nokia Intellisync customers the following key mobile middleware components:

* Heterogeneous Wireless Email offers mobilization of business and workflow processes, such as approvals, to be integrated with wireless email on a wide range of devices (Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhone), as well as backend groupware systems (Lotus Domino and Microsoft Exchange)
* Comprehensive Device Management and Security including software distribution, inventory configuration enforcement, OS patch updates and remote control for both laptops and handhelds from a single web-based console
* Unique Outbound Connection Model that facilitates highly-secure communications with mobile devices connecting into the corporate network without requiring any open inbound ports

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Concept Connections to help their Nokia Intellisync customers continue the development and deployment of strategic mobile solutions,” said Terry Stepien, president, Sybase iAnywhere. “Our goal with the Nokia Intellisync Migration program is to protect mobility investments and prepare businesses to meet the demands of the mobile enterprise today and in the future.”
