DataSolid GmbH Licenses its Third PLM Component from UGS to Accelerate Enhancements to CADdy++ Professional

3D DCM Will Provide the World’s Most Advanced Assembly Constraining Capabilities to DataSolid Customers

FOR RELEASE Thursday, February 2, 2006, PLANO, Texas – UGS Corp., a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, and DataSolid today announced that DataSolid has licensed the 3D Dimensional Constraint Manager (3D DCM) component from UGS’ D-Cubed subsidiary for use in the Professional version of its CADdy++ mechanical CAD product line.

The 3D DCM has been continuously developed for more than 12 years and deployed in many leading applications since the mid-1990s. Hundreds of thousands of designers and engineers benefit from 3D DCM-enabled part positioning, part modeling, motion simulation and 3D sketching.
