New products fully integrate with TANDBERG’s end-to-end network solution.

Oslo, Norway and New York, USA, Jan. 30, 2006 – TANDBERG® (OSLO: TAA.OL), a global leader in visual communication, today introduced products that deliver video “anytime, anywhere and for anyone,” advancing its mission of forging more productive organizations through multimedia collaboration.

The new, fully-integrated visual communication offerings provide:

• Video anytime: TANDBERG’s Content Server converts any video system into a broadcast studio for streaming and archiving video calls. Users can easily create live and on-demand content from the office, home or the road.

• Video anywhere: TANDBERG’s 3G Gateway allows 3G mobile phone users with video-enabled handsets to place video calls to any IP- and ISDN-based video endpoints. Bank customers, for example, can simply use their mobile phone to access financial experts for a “face-to-face” consultation, or insurance adjusters can speak with their corporate offices from the road to review disaster situations and coordinate response.

• Video for anyone: TANDBERG’s Compass MXP and Utility MXP endpoints are specifically designed for immediate face-to-face information access in public spaces, such as information desks at airports and hotels, or emergency environments. Potential applications are almost limitless and include language translation services, as well as financial services virtual tellers.

“The integration of these innovations into our total solution expands the reach of visual communications by truly providing face-to-face collaboration anytime, anywhere and for anyone,” said TANDBERG Chief Executive Officer Fredrik Halvorsen. “By making visual communications more accessible, TANDBERG is fueling multimedia collaboration that enhances organizational productivity and creates a competitive advantage.”

TANDBERG Content Server
With the TANDBERG Content Server for streaming and archiving, organizations can share CEO briefings, live product-launch events, sales presentations and demonstrations, as well as human-resources briefings and programs. Video calls can be recorded for live or later viewing, and content can be viewed on personal computers using any of the popular media players, including Microsoft Windows Media®, RealPlayer® and Apple QuickTime®.

The network appliance is centrally located, creates content from existing video equipment, supports dual stream video with no upload or conversion and presents any type of content application, not just PowerPoint®. The Content Server can be used stand-alone for smaller organizations, or be easily integrated with existing content distribution networks for increased capacity and performance. By leveraging TANDBERG’s Expressway™ firewall traversal technology, the Content Server can be securely deployed behind the enterprise firewall, yet still allow access by remote users.

TANDBERG 3G Gateway
TANDBERG’s 3G Gateway lets users simply dial a number on their 3G mobile phone to place a video call to any IP- or ISDN-based video system, allowing them to connect face-to-face, for example, from a hotel room in London to a video conference between a co-worker in Chicago and a customer in Beijing.

The 3G Gateway is available in two versions with capacities of up to 8 or 30 simultaneous 3G-to-IP calls. It also embeds interactive voice and video response, and is Expressway™ enabled to ensure secure firewall traversal.

TANDBERG Compass MXP and TANDBERG Utility MXP
The TANDBERG Compass MXP and TANDBERG Utility MXP each feature a fully-integrated video system with telephone handset, simplified keypad and wall-mounted enclosure.

The Compass features simple five-button menu navigation and the Utility offers an even simpler automatic dial, activated when the user picks up the handset. The more durable Utility MXP is especially useful for public systems in rugged environments, such as judicial facilities, emergency shelters and hospitals.

TANDBERG Compass MXP, Utility MXP and 3G Gateway are available now. TANDBERG Content Server will be available the second half of February 2006.
