EMC Recognized for Environmental Stewardship by North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has recognized EMC’s Apex Manufacturing plant as a Rising Environmental Steward. This recognition is for companies in North Carolina that voluntarily demonstrate a mature environmental management system and progressive environmental performance and pledge to continue that commitment.

With a manufacturing plant in Apex, a research and development facility in Research Triangle Park, and sales and services offices in Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh, EMC’s North Carolina operations are crucial for delivering the world’s most comprehensive information infrastructure systems, software and services to customers around the world. As a Rising Environmental Steward, EMC’s Apex Manufacturing plant maintains a comprehensive ISO 14001 certified environmental management system with formal policies and procedures to support environmental compliance, auditing and employee training. Additionally, EMC has a series of performance goals to lessen its carbon footprint through more efficient electricity and fuel consumption; reduce its water usage; and continue to drive its recycling efforts.
