Stuttgart (D) – Following the evaluation of all acceptance declarations, a total of 253,905 shares have been tendered to Scintilla AG until the expiration of the additional acceptance period on January 15, 2009 in relation to its public tender offer to all shareholders of sia Abrasives Holding AG, Frauenfeld. This represents 87,9 percent of all shares subject to the offer. Hence Scintilla AG holds in total 747,001 shares of sia Abrasives Holding AG. This includes the shares held by Scintilla AG at the date of the publication of the offer, the shares it has acquired in the market since the publication of the offer as well as the treasury shares held by sia Abrasives Holding AG. In total Scintilla AG holds 99.6 percent of the shares and voting rights. Scintilla AG is a wholly-owned, indirect subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany.

Given its 99.6 percent stake in sia Abrasives Holding AG, Bosch intends to request the cancellation of all shares not tendered into the offer in accordance with Art. 33 Stock Exchange Act (SESTA) and to delist the sia-shares from the SIX Swiss Exchange following the consummation of the offer, as described under section K.7 of the offer prospectus.
