Face Value Phish Tickets

The Quest to Find Face Value Phish Tickets for the upcoming 2009 Tour is soon to begin.

According to a recent poll of users at website , more than 75% of phish fans believe that they will have to get their tickets on a secondary market such as StubHub or Ebay for the much anticipated PHISH concert tour in 2009.

Jonathan Rybczynski, webmaster and publisher of suggested Phish Fans “Hold their ground” when searching for tickets for the tour. “If you look on sites such as StubHub right now you see many tickets listed at astronomical prices.” Rybczynski said. “With the exceptions of tour stops in Virginia, North Carolina and small venue show at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta tickets should be reasonably priced on secondary markets.” Rybczynski goes on to explain that if fans wait until a week before the show to purchase their seats, prices should go down to almost face value for some of the larger venues with lawn seating.

Phish does offer a ticket presale where fans are able to sign up for a chance to buy face value seats to anyone of the upcoming tour dates. However, seats through this method are limited and are leaving many fans of the popular group with only the public on sale to buy tickets. Rybczynski explains that if fans know the on sale times and are ready to purchase at those times they will have just as good of a chance at getting seats as the brokers. However, if you have to buy from a secondary source it would be better to wait. Rybczynski suggests that “Ticket markets are like any other markets, there are highs and lows. I recommend that fans monitor these markets and when the prices dip to almost face value, then act”.
