Turkish Airlines completes commercial with Costner

Turkish Airlines has completed filming a commercial starring Oscar winner Kevin Costner.
Award winning Swedish director Fredik Callingaard and Danish director of photography Kasper Tuxen filmed the Turkish Airlines’ commercial, starring world famous actor Kevin Costner.

One of the world’s fastest growing airlines, Turkish Airlines brought special equipment to Istanbul from abroad for filming of the commercial, which took place at the International Flights Terminal of Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport for two days. The music of the commercial was made by a team of leading composers.

A total of 80 actors and actresses from Germany, Italy, Russia, Serbia and Turkey participated in the commercial.

Promoting the Business Class service of Turkish Airlines in its flight network, the filming of the commercial was carried out inside an A330 Aircraft.
Having said that he prefers Turkish Airlines because of its successful operations and customer satisfaction Kevin Costner stated that he wants to come back to Istanbul with his wife again.

Beginning next month the commercial will be broadcast in 70 countries including Turkey.

Mr. Costner, who visited Turkey with his wife in 2007 to take part in a concert as as a musician, attracted admiration and public attention.

Upon the completion of the commercial, Mr. Costner said that he had the opportunity to see what a great company THY is at first hand during his stay in Turkey. “Everyone in the crew, from film workers to the director, did a very good job. I would like to come back here with my wife as soon possible” said he.
Having participated in a global commercial for the first time, the Oscar winning actor left Istanbul on the night of January 13, 2009.
