Yo San University offers an Integrative Reproductive Medicine Course

Yo San University in Los Angeles, California announced the offering of a course in February 2009 that will provide in-depth review on Reproductive Medicine from both a Western biomedical as well as a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective.

The course is titled ‘Integrative Reproductive Medicine’ and is an intensive 3-day course taught by distinguished TCM faculty and MD Reproductive Endocrinologists. The course also covers the requirements for the ABORM certification examination in Oriental Reproductive Medicine.

The course will run for 3 days from February 13th through February 15th 2009. Availability is limited and seats will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The 3 day course is broken down into 6 four-hour sessions, 2 sessions per day. Session topics include:

• Infertility – A Western Medical Perspective
• Infertility – A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Perspective
• Diagnostic Methods in Infertility and Assisted Reproductive Technology
• Gestational Disorders and Ethical Guidelines on Treating Infertility
• TCM Management of Infertility
• Integrative Management of Infertility – TCM & ART

The course has been approved for Continuing Education (CE) credits with the California Acupuncture Board. Four (4) CE units will be awarded for each 4-hour session. Total CE units available for the entire 3-day course are 24 units.
