ISO FDIS 24734 and 24735 Help Establish Unified Speed Measurements for Printers

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, announced today it will support the newly established ISO/IEC 24734 and 24735 Productivity Standards, which are currently registered for FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) approval and nearing completion.

Under the ISO FDIS, participating vendors would adopt a common measurement system to quote print and copy speed performance. This makes it easier for users to choose products according to their printing and copying needs.

Moving forward Canon plans to quote print and copy speeds based on the ISO FDIS. The actual applicable products will be announced upon their availability.
