CA Chosen as a Best Storage Channel Vendor in Business Solutions Magazine Survey
Value-Added Resellers Give CA High Marks Across the Board as a Storage Partner
ISLANDIA, N.Y. – CA (NASDAQ: CA) today announced that it was chosen as a “Best Channel Vendor” for storage based on a web-based survey of Value-Added Resellers (VARs) conducted by Business Solutions magazine. CA received strong rankings in all seven categories, including standout grades for product features, channel friendliness and service and support.
CA also received solid scores for its VAR margins, channel program, product reliability and product innovation.

To ensure the statistical accuracy of the study, Business Solutions partnered with Penn State University to tally the results of close to 18,000 votes.

Best Channel Vendor winners were chosen via an on-line survey of VAR subscribers who rated vendors on a scale of 0 (worst) to 5 (best) in seven categories. VARs were asked to rate vendors based on key qualities such as their products ability to meet functionality needs, loyalty to their channel partners, fairness of business practices, quality of their working relationship and responsiveness. Results were published in Business Solutions’ special “Best and Worst Channel Vendors” issue.
“The volume of responses to our survey was overwhelming,” continued Roddy. “We collected 17,771 votes from 1,604 unique resellers, making this one of the largest surveys of its kind, especially with the level of detail we gathered. These 1,604 resellers represent an estimated $10.564 billion in annual sales, an average of $6.6 million per participating VAR.”
