BooksOnBoard Contest Offers Sony eBook Reader as Grand Prize
Premier ebookstore BooksOnBoard (www.BooksOnBoard.com) today announced a new contest to win a Sony PRS-505 in Sangria Red.
“We started selling Sony eBook Readers just before Thanksgiving and we can’t keep them in stock,” according to BooksOnBoard CEO Bob LiVolsi. “Writing short entries to win one might just be an excellent and rewarding way to spend some holiday downtime... that and reading BooksOnBoard ebooks, of course. Very importantly, it incents our customers to give us feedback.”
Contestants can earn entries to the drawing in several ways. Writing a blog entry about eBooks (details here: http://www.booksonboard.com/index.php?F=device_contest) is worth 5 entries; linking back to the contest from a social networking site such as Facebook or MySpace is worth one entry. The contest ends midnight Central Standard Time (US), Sunday, January 11th . The winner will be announced Thursday, January 15.
“My favorite are the Facebook and MySpace entries where people can bring their friends in to stack up the entries,” says Nathan Johnson, Director of Operations at BooksOnBoard. “There is no limit to the number of entries allowed. As with any BooksOnBoard contest, no purchase is required and the drawing will be random"
The Sony eBook Reader PRS-505 is compatible with Adobe ePub and Adobe Digital Editions files. More compact than many paperbacks, it weighs about 9 ounces (6 without cover), is 1/3” thin, and holds up to 160 eBooks in internal memory and hundreds more with optional removable memory cards. It boasts an impressive 6-inch display, utilizing breakthrough E Ink® technology that is almost paper-like, making it easy to read even in bright sunshine. The screen allows for high contrast and high resolution, with a near 180º viewing angle. The text can also be magnified for ease of reading.
