Qualcomm Announces Organizational Changes In Latin America

Flavio Mansi Promoted to Senior Vice President and President of Qualcomm Latin America; Marco Aurelio Rodrigues Retires from his Position as President of Qualcomm Brazil

SAN DIEGO - Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, today announced that Flavio Mansi has been promoted to senior vice president and president of Qualcomm Latin America. Marco Aurelio Rodrigues is retiring from his position as president of Qualcomm Brazil and from Qualcomm.

Mansi successfully integrated Qualcomm’s Mexico, Central America and Caribbean teams into one, and in this new role he will also oversee the Company’s operations in Brazil. With Rodrigues’ retirement, Paulo Breviglieri, senior director of business development will assume the role of Brazil country manager, reporting to Mansi.

Mansi joined Qualcomm in 2001 as vice president of business development. He has established and grown strong relationships with the largest 3G operators and vendors in the region. Working closely with Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, Qualcomm Internet Services, MediaFLO Technologies and Qualcomm’s Engineering Services Group, he has gained success and traction for numerous Qualcomm technologies and services. Mansi was instrumental in facilitating the entry of new data card manufacturers into the Latin American market.

Rodrigues’ retirement from his current position as president of Qualcomm Brazil is effective December 31, 2008, concluding a distinguished 45-year career in the telecommunications industry. He joined Qualcomm in 1995 as founder and president of the Brazilian operations.
