American Express Becomes the Official Card Partner of the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau

NEW YORK AND SAN FRANCISCO.- Today American Express was named the Official Card Partner of the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (SFCVB). The partnership will help SFCVB members extend their marketing reach and provide offers to high-spending American Express Cardmembers who visit San Francisco or live in the region. American Express will also provide insights to member businesses to help them understand current customers, identify new customers and entice lapsed customers to return.

* “3 Nights for the price of 2.” This lodging promotion, which begins Jan. 1 through June 30, 2009 offers three hotel nights for the price of two when reserved with any American Express Card and booked on www.onlyinsanfrancisco.com. The list of participating hotels will be posted on www.onlyinsanfrancisco.com beginning Jan. 5, 2009.

* “Dine About Town San Francisco.” The eighth annual restaurant promotion returns Jan. 15 – 31 and again June 1 – 15, 2009. Diners may select from more than 100 Bay Area restaurants offering prix-fixe lunch menus for $21.95 and/or dinner menus for $34.95, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
